At JC Piano, performance is an essential part of musical growth. Under the guidance of Singapore-based piano educator Jo Tee, students are encouraged to step beyond the practice room and experience the joy, discipline, and confidence that come from performing live.

Annual piano recitals are held at a variety of respected venues, including Young Musicians’ Society Arts Centre (YMS)Library@EsplanadeThe Arts HouseAlliance FrançaiseSheraton Towers Singapore, and The Centrepoint. These professionally curated events provide students with valuable stage experience in inspiring,
real-world performance settings.

Recitals mark an important milestone for both students and their families. Through performance opportunities, students develop poise, confidence, and strong performance skills, while learning to share their music with sincerity and expression. By showcasing young pianists, these events also inspire young listeners to
pursue their own musical journey.

A recent highlight was the 2025 annual recital at Ocean Restaurant, Sentosa, where students performed in an elegant and intimate setting alongside a fine-dining lunch experience. Live piano music accompanied breathtaking underwater views of manta rays, reef sharks, and vibrant tropical fish, creating a truly memorable experience where music and environment came together in harmony.

Looking ahead, JC Piano continues to explore collaborations with distinctive venues that offer meaningful and inspiring performance opportunities. Ms Tee’s vision is to unlock each student’s potential by nurturing confidence, stage presence, and a lifelong love of music through thoughtfully curated performance experiences.
